A specialist of life boats, life rafts and rescue boats which are not fast rescue boats

 

Тhe training course “A specialist of life boats, life rafts and rescue boats which are not fast rescue boats” meets the requirements laid down in STCW Reg. VI/2 (2) and Section A-VI/2-1 of STCW. The training provides the necessary level of knowledge how to launch and to give orders aboard a life boat, life raft or a rescue boat in case of emergency. The course is developed according to the model course of IMO 1.2.3. It is addressed to the people who have already graduated from the course “Personal survival techniques”.
Students, who have succeeded in the training course “A specialist of life boats, life rafts and rescue boats, which are not fast rescue boats’’ will be able:

  • To be in command of life saving means during and after launching;
    - To use the engine of a rescue boat;
    - To give commands and to steer a life saving boat after leaving the ship;
    - To use the equipment which shows the position of the  people in distress;
    - To render elementary first aid.

The groups to study the course “A specialist of life boats, life rafts and rescue boats which are not fast rescue boats” are formed in room № 1. Future students are waited for every morning from Monday till Friday.
